The Greenleaf Ancient Egypt Study Package is a set of carefully selected children’s books covering the history of Ancient Egypt and designed to be used with the Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Egypt.

Other than Israel, Egypt is the country most frequently mentioned in the Bible. The history of Israel is intertwined with the history of Egypt – from Abraham and Isaac’s visits to Joseph and the 12 tribes sojourn and Exodus, to the sacking of Jerusalem by Pharaoh Shishak.

Egypt is one of the four great civilizations of the ancient world. It lasted for over 1,500 years, through the reigns of more than 250 pharaohs.

The Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Egypt is the perfect sequel to your child’s study of the history of Israel. The Guide organizes the information about Egypt into 10 lessons which can occupy 1-2 weeks each, depending on your family’s interests. Each lesson references the appropriate books in the study package and provides vocabulary, geography, discussion questions, and suggested activities.

Most of the lessons use the Landmark title The Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt which has biographies of a half dozen of the most important Pharaohs. For younger students, you can read these chapters our loud. Students in about 4th/5th grade and up can read them for themselves. (Rob used the title again in his 9th grade western civ class on the ancient world).

This study package is designed for students as young as 2nd grade (if you read some of the stories out loud) this study can be easily used with students all the way through junior high (6-8 grade).

The package contains:

  • The Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Egypt
  • Pyramid
  • The Sahara Desert
  • The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Egypt
  • The Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt
  • Tut’s Mummy Lost and Found
  • Mummies Made in Egypt by Aliki

fulfillment is by Simply put one of each title into your shopping cart.
